Dr. Doucet, an interventional cardiologist, is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Doucet earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University, New Orleans, and completed both his internship and residency at the University of Texas, Houston. He completed his cardiology fellowship and interventional cardiology fellowship -- where he was chief cardiology fellow -- at Baylor University, Houston. His expertise includes non-invasive diagnostic evaluations such as stress testing, echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography, permanent pacemaker placement and management, cardiac catheterization, and interventional cardiology techniques including angioplasty, atherectomy and coronary stenting. His teaching experience includes leading cardiac training symposiums and teaching advanced cardiac life support. He has written or co-written a number of studies on cardiac health and done extensive research on heart disease in women.
