| | Maxine (Noble) Gross '61 My husband and I bought two farms back in 1967 just below Mount Carmel High School for income tax purposes but decided to return here after we retired ten years ago.
We were married in 1962 while I was a student at Eastern Kentucky University. I completed my four years of college in three years by taking heavy semester loads and summer sessions allowing me to graduate in June of 1964. We then moved to Michigan where I taught elementary school in the little town of Lake Drison for twenty years. During that time I attended the University of Michigan and Morehead University where I obtained my 5th year of college.
My husband worked for and retired from Pontiac Motors in Pontiac, Michigan.
We have one wonderful son and three beautiful grandchildren living in Michigan: two boys, 17 and 14 years of age and one granddaughter, 8 years old. They are such a joy to us and spend several weeks with us each summer.
The thing I am most thankful for in my life is that on December 14th, 1980, I received God as my personal savior and was baptized. God has been so good to me and my family. I thank Him every day of my life for his goodness to me.
