- Demonstrate innovative wastewater treatment approaches,
- Serve rural areas not likely to be addressed in the near future by other traditional funding sources, or
- Have secured funding from other sources but still need a small amount of financial assistance to be implemented (need-a-boost)
This program awards 75% of the project’s cost, and the grant recipient must provide the remaining 25%. The current facility goes in and out of compliance, and officials have been tolerant of this condition, based on their understanding that the school has been working on it. Otherwise, they could be fined up to $25,000 per day. David Munson, Headmaster, recently did a letter to friends, asking for support on this undertaking. The response was truly heartwarming; currently they've received pledges for approximately $60,000, of which $52,000 has been received. The total to be raised is $110,000. One of the elementary school parents, Lynda Rose, made the school aware of the grant, and wrote the grant proposal. As Former Students, we say a huge "THANK YOU" to Mrs. Rose for helping our alma mater. |
