Greg Pass '83
MAJ Greg Pass just returned from a one year combat tour in Bagram, Afghanistan. He served as the Coalition Forces Land Component Command (CFLCC) Liaison Officer to the Combined Joint Task Force-76 (CJTF-76). He coordinated and relayed significant operational information between CJTF-76 and CFLCC, by attending command, strategic and operational briefings. Greg analyzed, complied and submitted multiple daily reports and synopses of command, threat, operational and logistical issues, plans and future operations for the respective theater.
During this combat tour, Greg monitored and reported timely information on the status of deploying the 10th Mountain Division and the redeployment of the Southern European Task Force totaling over 30k soldiers. Last December he was instrumental in synchronizing Pakistan Earthquake humanitarian relief efforts supplied by CFLCC ensuring CJTF-76 maintained visibility of humanitarian aide inbound from the US and Kuwait. He was directly responsible for rapid response to short fuse issues impacting CFLCC's ability to support Operational Enduring Freedom (OEF). Greg continually provided CFLCC senior leaders with timely information of all facets of OEF. |

opportunity to meet the President and the
Vice President of the United States. | MAJ Greg Pass attended Mount Carmel his junior and senior year of High School. He graduated from Mount Carmel in 1983. MAJ Greg Pass completed an undergraduate degree in Biology from Trevecca Nazarene University in 1989 and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2001. He will be serving the remainder of his two year deployment in Atlanta, Georgia. Greg will then return to teaching ROTC at Jacksonville State University. He is married to his wife of 16 years, Tammy. Greg and Tammy Pass have two children: Tyler (12) and Lydia (9). Greg and his family presently live in Jacksonville, Alabama. | Back |
