I graduated from Mount Carmel in 1974. I have been living in Columbus, Georgia since 1983. I pastored 13th Avenue Sanctified Church for 2 years then left the church and went into public education. I taught history and coached football, basketball, girl's softball for about 15 years in Muscogee County School District. I have two sons, Matt (26) and Justin (23). I was divorced in 1999 and I have since remarried. My wife is Shannon. We've both been teaching at Calvary Christian School since 2002. I teach U.S. History, AP U.S. History, World History, U.S.Government and I coach the girls varsity basketball team. We have no children together but we are in the process of adopting a child. For many years I strayed away from God. I was set on having my own way and satisfying my own desires and my own plans. After my divorce I moved to Atlanta and taught at Duluth High School for two years. I was just running from everyone but especially from God. I'm so grateful that the Hound of Heaven followed me to Atlanta, convicted my heart and graciously forgave me and accepted me back into the family. We are very committed to Christian education and I am seeking God's will about the future. God gave me a promise when I was reclaimed: to "restore the years the locusts have eaten." I've wasted a lot of years and I want to work twice as hard in the time I have left to lay up treasure in heaven. I love teaching young people and I'm looking for opportunities to preach the gospel. I would love to hear from anybody. |
