There is something special about the 50th high school reunion and ours was no exception. We met Friday evening in Lexington for a good meal and great fellowship. There were thirteen class members present from a class of about forty-five.
Saturday we traveled to Mt. Carmel Campus for more fun, fellowship, and food with some couple hundred other school mates. God's blessing was evident in many ways; the weather was especially beautiful. Sunday morning we had a wonderful Worship and Praise service in the Mt. Carmel Chapel. Celia Davis put together a reunion choir as well as several other special music groups. One of the most meaningful times in the service were the victorious accounts of God's grace in keeping our classmates true to the heritage we acquired at Mt Carmel some fifty years ago. All in all, this was a great celebration. I encourage every alumnus to attend his/her class union. |
