 | Mt. Carmel recently suffered a great loss in the passing of Mr. Craig McKinnon. Craig came from Michigan to serve as a cook at KMBC. He has four sons. David and Robert are adults. Andrew is a senior, and Michael is a sophomore at Mt. Carmel High School. He met Pilar, his wife from Columbia, South America, in Costa Rica while he was serving in the Peace Corps. She teaches Spanish in the Breathitt County Elementary Schools. Craig, age 55, was in his second year of teaching Spanish and geography at Mt. Carmel. His death (March 18) was from complications arising after a car accident on Highway 15 in Jackson.Craig was "bigger than life" as an outgoing, friendly person who made friends easily and made people feel good about themselves. He especially enjoyed congregational singing and worship in music. He will be greatly missed by students and faculty who enjoyed his joyful living. |
