On July 5, 2006, I revisited MCHS for the first time since 1972.  I have such happy memories of my three years at Mt. Carmel. What a delight to learn of this website! In the past couple days, I have reconnected with two of my former roommates, Sylvia Wilson and Caryl Todd, after over thirty years of not knowing where they were!

I graduated Mt. Carmel in 1969, and Hobe Sound Bible College (FL) in 1973; taught grades 3-4-5 at Wyandot Christian School (OH) for 2 years; and married a college classmate, David Miller, in 1975.   We have lived in AL, TN, TX; and for almost 20 years, in NC.

For the past 14 years, I've taught a variety of subjects (mostly math) in the Jr. High and High School at Carolina Christian Academy, from which our four daughters--Julia, Patricia, Sylvia, and Lydia--all graduated and then they went elsewhere to Bible Colleges. Our oldest daughter is now on the faculty at our school, the second is married and living in SC with her husband and their two precious children, and our two youngest have finished college and returned home to live and work in the area. They also help in our church Sunday School and bus ministry. My husband recently retired

from USAirways' avionics shop, and now works in industrial electronics. Living near a holiness churchand Christian day school for the girlshas always been a priority of ours, and we are actively involved in both.  God has directed our lives from the beginning, and blessed us with both a godly heritage and progeny, joyous days, and bright future serving Him.  How we love and thank Him!

I'm attaching my latest "school photo" and also one of the Vermilyea family.  Some of you may remember my parents, who served 16 years in Haiti as missionaries (they are now retired in Salem, OH); and my sister, Linda, who attended KMBI a couple years. She and her husband, Gordon Kincaid, and two sons pastor in PA. My husband and I are on the right, with our girls, son-in-law, and grandchildren.
