Ted Burkman ('59) is writing this "bio" in memory of Joyce. A very wise, old, Nazarene pastor once told him that when we get to heaven we will all be surprised at who else has a room in our Father's house. The following is what Ted imagines Joyce might say: | | Hi, everyone. It is beautiful up here. I know many of you never thought I would ever arrive in this wonderful place, but God was merciful. Some who arrived after me seemed to be in shock when they first saw me. I graduated from Mt. Carmel in 1958 and from KMBI in 1961 and then I attended Asbury College. I have fond memories of many of my classmates in each of these schools. I look forward to seeing those of you who will some day arrive in this eternal city. Until later, Joyce |
